Multi-Platinum selling band LANCO continues to forge new territory as the roots-frontier explorers and live-performance junkies announcing details today behind their new HONKY-TONK HIPPIES EP, available July 2 and their 30-city fall headlining tour by the same name. The anthemic EP was self-produced by the band, with each track penned by at least two members. The group traveled to the iconic Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL to record the new music, absorbing its heart-pounding and soul-shaking influence. Now set to release five new tracks fit perfectly for the road, all fans are invited to sign up for a FANCO membership which offers instant access to receive the swampy title-track today (6/21) with pre-order for the HONKY-TONK HIPPIES EP available. As LANCO continues to "bring the full-band sound back to Country" (Newsday), Brandon Lancaster, Eric Steedly, Chandler Baldwin, Jared Hampton and Tripp Howell will electrify crowds across the country this summer. The five-man band will build off their deep-rooted connection with fans as the HONKY-TONK HIPPIES TOUR launches Sept. 12th in Isle of Palms, SC at The Wind Jammer with Ross Ellis. First pre-sale tickets go on sale to FANCO members tomorrow, with tickets available to the public beginning this Friday (6/25 at 10:00A local time) at www.lancomusic.com.
“For our band, the two things we love more than anything are playing shows and being in the studio,” said frontman Brandon Lancaster. “So, the minute we were cleared, we booked Fame Studios and started planning this tour. Seeing the dates on a calendar helped us visualize being back on stage, and these songs reflect that feeling. We tracked everything live with all our pent up energy, and it won’t be long until we’re out there with the fans crowd-surfing to it.”
Steeped in the sepia-toned euphoria of small-town life, LANCO broke out with the 2x Platinum hit “Greatest Love Story," earning a multi-week No. One with a heartland rocker for a new generation. They followed up with the Billboard Country Albums chart topper HALLELUJAH NIGHTS, marking the first Country group to earn a No. One debut in a decade. Additionally LANCO garnered another Platinum hit, sending the neon romance of “Born to Love You” up the radio charts as LANCO toured around the world. New music from the ACM “New Group of the Year” follows multiple nominations from the CMT, CMA, ACM, AMA and iHeartAwards, while Lancaster became the first member of a group to win NSAI’s 2019 “Songwriter/Artist of the Year.” For more information on LANCO visit www.lancomusic.com.
